Cabinet post for Sen. Clinton

December 3, 2008

Hillary Clinton is back in the news, and this time she was made as Secretary of State by President-elect Barack Obama. It’s good knowing that my bet for this year’s presidential elections is in the thick of things once again. Senator Clinton will serve as the secretary of state, and the person who will lead the United States in foreign affairs. The president-elect has kind words for his former rival, saying that the Senator has ‘extraordinary intelligence and toughness’. President Bush’s secretary of defense will stay on with his job. It was said that Obama’s process of selecting his team of advisers is similar to the one used by then President Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln was known to have collected his ‘team of rivals’ and hired advisers who did not agree with him in some issues. He did that in order to her conflicting views. Clinton must be confirmed by the Senate.

DNC Convention starts

August 26, 2008

The Democratic Party’s national convention starts today in Denver Colorado, but hey I’m thousand miles away from that country and not even a citizen so why bother? Well I’m just checking  what role will Hillary Clinton play in the convention. You know, after that grueling primary season I have learned to appreciate the many things about Hillary. In fact when I was still with company who kicked us out unceremoniously, my officemate and I followed the primaries as if we were part of Hillary Clinton’s core supporters in the States. It was the Super Tuesday and we monitored many news sites to know where we stand. As state by state announced the results, we were alarmed. At the end of the day we consoled ourselves by the fact that Clinton held the lead in the SuperDs. But we all know that was the start of the erosion of her base.
